I have a similar problem, I coach Brighouse Juniors under 14 girls, Currently i have six players at a centre of excellence. We had a meeting in March where we were told same as you but have heard nothing since.
Originally we were told that the trials would be in May, but it now seems unlikely that this will happen. To lose lose those players now would make life difficult but to lose them in August would spell disaster.
I think this is a positive step forward for girls football but it needs to be sorted asap so players and coaches know where they stand
