Default Level 2 help needed!!!

Can anyone help me?
I am planning for my final assessment for my level 2 FA badge.
I have been given the themed topic of "FORWARD RUNS WITHOUT THE BALL".
I have to go from a technical practice to a Skill practice to a SSG (4v4).
Session is to be for 35 mins.

Unfortunately we did not cover this topic in the weeks coaching or in any of the inetrnal assessments!
Everyone else got a session where we have comprehensive notes so they are fine!!! I have no notes on this at all.
I am guessing that timimg and angle of runs are important and to include overlaps, crossover runs etc. However I really need some structure.

I would really appreciate any help you could provide.
I need to specifically:
a) Figure out the technical key factors (in logical order) for forward runs without the ball,
b) Work out the unopposed practice structure to bring out these technical key factors (with progressions)
c) Figure out the Skill key factors (in logical order) - for the individual and unit - to coach before I reinforce the technical key factors
d) Work out the opposed practice structure to bring out these skill key factors (with progressions) and to reinforce the technical key factors
e) Work out the appropriate 4v4 SSG include the best start point for the game to bring out the key factors then allow free play and intervene where appropriate.

Is there anyone out there who could help?
Is this exact theme covering tech, skill and 4v4 SSG on the web site if I sign up?

I am not someone that will just take advice and give nothing back.
I love the game and the level 2 course has really opened my eyes to even more improvement and made me think how much more I can do as a coach.
I will certainly help others now I have found this great site.

Thanks

G

I think you'll find that there are many here who will help. Glad to have your aboard. I'm American so I've found the presentation of our principles are a little different, so why not post what your thoughts are about the session and then I can help tweak a bit.

Our instructor has just completed a 35 demo of exactly this topic!

Basically get into groups of 3 and get them to pass the ball around and encourage the player without the ball to quickly sprint away from the group an call for the ball. Then when he receives the ball he returns to the group and continues. think about ways to lose an imaginery defender, turning, dropping a shoulder, shimmy etc.......

The progression from this is to introduce a defender to close the ball down, then players have to think about getting out at an angle to allow the pass without being closed down.

The 4v4 works on having a grid with the 4v4 set up and using neutral support players on the side line encourage players to pass and when they see an opportunity they run out of thier grid into target areas and look for a pass, they score a point when receiving the pass. play then resumes and you look for a new opportunity to run forward into the target zones to receive a new pass.

Hope this helps.

Default Thoughts

You have to define the purpose of the run first.
just to get a pass is only one reason.

You have to teach timming, dissusing the run or calling attention, what about communication?
