Default Top ways to recuit

Does anyone have any ways to recuit players that they have used succesfully. The only way I can think of is to advertise in the local newspaper. Getting current players to ask around. (Through you can't trust them to try and get the best players to come)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Advertise on your website. Be specific about the 'level' of player you want. Put posters up in your area in Post Offices, Charity Shops, Newsagents. Depedning on age group - go to local schools, sixth forms, colleges, universities and ask if you can leave/distribute leaflets. And yes, word of mouth.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice never thought of getting leaflets into schools even though that seems quite obvious. I am thinking of running a trail for new players in the new year. Would you recommend this or would it be a waste of time half way through the season.

You never know. However, more beneficial at the start of a new pre-season. We still get players turning up for trials even now. Mostly this is by word of mouth or from viewing our website.
