Default Ssg: Defending In Your Own Half

Hi Everyone,

I've got my final assessment level 2 this week and I am struggling to sort out the key factors and starting positions for my topic which is "defending in your own half".

I would really appreciate anyone's help in this matter.

Thank you all.

Greg

Hi

Most of the clues are in the title 'Defending in YOUR OWN HALF'

SP Mis-placed from your FB to oppo CMF in your half and coach from there.

KF's
1) Who pressures WHEN/WHERE/HOW
2) Who Covers WHEN/WHERE/HOW
3) Balance
4) Communication

Observe nearest man cover, recovery runs, cover positions etc.

I'd actually start with the pass going to rb/lb in opp half. then get your strikers to drop into midfield, tight marking closer to goal, and pressure, cover, balance in midfield.

Hi Tony

Why would he want the ball to go into the opposition half when the title of his topic is Defending in YOUR OWN HALF?
