Default Interesting!

I may use it! Another way to evaluate athletes! It seems a good way to be organized.

I used it last year mid-season to force me to think about what I needed to do for my players. Really helpful for me planning sessions over the next month or so of the season. I'm going to do this eval at the beginning of the season as well as the end to try and gauge improvement.

Pretty good, very comprehensive. So, how do you use these on your teams?

Smile How to use the comprehensive assessment form

I use this form in two ways, one simple and informal and the other a little more formal and requiring a fair amount of effort.

1. Simple and Informal; I will simply use the criteria to assess an individual player, marking him out of 5 or 10 and use this to agree with the individual what we need to work on, and highlighting what I think he/she is great at. (enforcing the positives is the key to allowing the development to be listened to)

2. Formal and Effort; I will evaluate the eniture team over a week in training once a season and refer back during the season to the numbers. I will rate them again out of 10 or 5 but it will be for the entire squad and will be referred to often in terms of there numbers.

I am aware of several drawbacks with these methods and one day I will perfect them both but for now they work in the most part.
