Default The Joys of fitness

Players always find this aspect of the game very boring. The best training methods that get good results are;
  • fartlek training
  • Interval training
  • Circuit training
definatly try the top one, ive had great results

Any info check it on google

What types of exercises do you use in your circuits? Are they football realted like dribbling and juggling or just simple things like press ups and sit ups

Default Circuit Training

My cicuit stations vary depening on what I'm working for. I do use strength ones of which press ups, sit ups etc are a big part of the coaching.

However, for aerobic exercise tolerance I use activities such as shuttle runs, skipping, step exercises and lots more.

Circuit training i find helps with young people as the activity changes regularly. Thus meaning they dont get bored after 2 minutes.

Looks good mate, If you've not used it before then i'm sure the players would love it. The only problem I had was when I do put a ball in the circuit training, it seems to end up miles away, kids will be kids unfortunatly lol. Definatly try it, it never takes long to see the results :]

Hi Boston

Looks great - I'd enjoy it (although not every session, of course).

The whole 'ball' thing comes down to your individual philosophy and skill level/age of your players.

I personally like to involve the ball in everything I do if the players still haven't mastered the basic techniques. Plus the ball helps distract players from the realisation that you've got them running around getting fitter!
