thank you for your suggestion about starting at the biographies,iv read one and that has sparked my wish to know more, i think im interested becouse of the amount of science that he seems to use in his methods.
iv heard alot of rubbish about arsenal recently about the style of play but when people look at the facts they went whole season unbeaten with this style.i think any coach would be stupid not to want to know about the man and his methods but thats just my opinion. |

Well, as one of the two Arsenal fans here on this board, I'd be in agreement. The downside to the Wenger methodology (and I not 100% sure of what this is, exactly) is that we don't have the most rugged of teams. Clichy, Rosicky, Gallas, Walcott, have all had niggling injuries that don't go away.

well from what iv read so far he uses alot of isometrics which build both fast and slow twitch fibers but dont add the bulk, this will contribute to injuries as players wont have the wieght advantage gained from normal exercises.
But also i think there are not many teams who can match up to the passing and movement style of arsenal and as a result the majority of team seem to use deliberate aggression to intimidate them not to pass and becouse of this im not surprised there are alot of injuries. |

Instead of just playing a big game at the end of training, wenger likes to play a high intensity 11v11 on a half size pitch, meaning the players need to be able to pick out their pass and then execute it quickly. This is one of the reasons arsenal are able to work the ball round so well and play themselves out of trouble, hope that helps mate
