Default New Coach Required - Hertfordshire area

Don't suppose there are any newly qualified (or wanting to get qualified) coaches out there that would fancy getting some experience running a third team for me next season at U9? I currently have two teams and I plan and run all of the coaching sessions assisted by three other coaches.

We probably have too many kids for the two teams that we run, but rather than dump anybody I want to build up and offer football for players of all abilities and a third team would be the ideal opportunity - and also give the players involved a chance to play at a more appropriate level whilst allowing us to push the more-able kids a little quicker/harder thus catering for all and sundry.

Would need a fully committed individual that can drive and also manage the team on training night (once a week) and on Saturday mornings. Support would be provided by myself and my three assistants where/when needed, but eventually the plan is to get you fully self sufficient.

We have a really progressive little club with great facilities and a friendly feel with a strong committee. Out of our five 11-a-side teams this season, two of them reached County Cup semi-finals and two have won their respective league cups. The mini-football teams are showing the same potential and we're really keen on developing our coaches as much as we are the children.

Anyone fancy it then?

I'd recommend Cookie's program to anyone, just based on what he's posted here before. Should be a good opportunity.

Hope you find someone, Cookie.

I'm going to have 2, possibly three, teams next spring, so I'm looking at developing coaches as well. So, good luck to you.

Hey Val

You still around moderating then....

You've done well sticking in there for so long. I aim to be a more frequent visitor in the coming weeks/months!

Shame it isn't closer, would love to if it was nearer home, am struggling to find a team to coach and it sounds like you have a really good set-up
