Default Injured player looking to return even BETTER!!

Hey guys, Im registered a while but this is my first post.

Basically, im a very good amateur player who has been out the last few weeks with an injury. Now I have a structured fitness plan mapped out for me in conjunction with the physio my coach and a personal trainer.

So what I am looking for is a plan that I can execute by myself with a ball and a few cones that will get my confidence, sharpness, awareness, touch, vision and everything else in between up to scratch before I go back into team training session. As I said the fitness will be there its just the 'ball specific stuff I need.

Oh and by the way I play centre half or centre midfield. So whatever could help me.

Also would watching and studying top class players also help? Oh and by the way I play centre half or centre midfield. So whatever could help me.

Id really appreciate info and advice, thanks!

I doubt you've lost too much of your ball skills and sharpness in such a short period of time. But.....

... dribbling the ball around cones isn't realy going to make you 'sharp'. Personally I'd find a good solid brick wall and go and kick a football against it for an hour a day.

No, seriously, stop laughing. Think about it. You don't need to depend on anyone else, and the wall won't get bored or tired.

If you vary the distance you stand from the wall and make your goal to return the ball to the wall every time using a different number of touches and returning it on the volley and at different heights then I can assure you you'll get one of the best workouts you've ever had.

When you are close to the wall (1-2 meters away) and really pinging it, you'll need to be really 'sharp' to execute a well controlled return each time. Challenge yourself to see how many controlled returns you can make, trying to better it each time.

What was the injury out of interest?
