I coach U12's & I too did have some dicipline problems, however, Ive ironed them all out with punishment
I use a number of different punishments & if any of the young men misbehave & are punished, I immediately tell their parent/guardian at the end of the session My punishments are as follows (& obviously arnt too strict) 5 press-ups A run across the width of the pitch & back 5 minute sin bin on side of pitch A run round the whole pitch Sub for the match if initially a starting player Banned from training for 1 week (only had to threaten this one) as for diciplining yourself, I fully agree, just remember to shout "do as I say & not as I do" when you do something wrong ![]() |
