I am currently on the level 2 course and could do with some good advice.
I have to do a 4 planned link progression session plan(hope that makes sense) and want to know what would be the best topic to do???
Also i have `ball control` on my 35 minute themed session, so again any good ideas will be brilliant........

Default Level 2 4 Linked Sessions

Hi Jay,

For my Level 2, 4 linked sessions I chose a really broad topic, "Principles of Defending" there is loads of scope there and it is relatively easy to measure the progress that the group of players make.

My sessions, included defending: 1v1, 2v2 with the ball in front, 2v2 recovery runs and covering, 2v2 forcing play, with a ssg game in 3 of the sessions and within the final session some work as a back 4 (pressure, cover, support)

From speaking to other coaches we felt that broad "Defending" and "Attacking" topics were the easiest to coach within the 4 sessions, some of the candidates were able to cover some heading which ticks another box for the depth of your portfolio.

Have you got many ideas for your assessment?

Graham

Thumbs up Level 2

Thanks Graham!
I have done defending and it is nearly the same as you did.I have basically gone from 1v1 up to 4v4 and then introduced keepers and floaters.I did the sessions with my players and it went really well

As for my `ball control` i have got some good ideas thought up,but i am always open for any suggestions
Thanks again mate!!!

Welcome to the boards. Post early and often.

Sounds like you should be really broad: shooting, saving breakaways, wide play, etc. Pick a topic you like to teach, or have some good drills that are fun and that you can explain in 30-40 seconds.

You'll get better advice if you come up with a topic, post your thoughts, and then let us help you refine it...
