Default Level 2 coaching to improve defending in wide areas

Hi all,

Got my level 2 practicals this weekend. Wondering if anyone had previously done the above in a 6v6. I think i know what i'm doing, but any advice or a list of key factors would be useful.

Thanks,

John

I thought the new format L2 was using 4v4 instead of 6v6?

Default Coaching to defend in wide areas

I'm taking the last of the old format,

I was thinking of using my start position as the keeper rolling the ball to his full back and the defending striker showing him down the line. Does that sound reasonable?

My kf's are,

- Positive attitude
- as ball travels to wide player, fuul back must close down as ball travels
- show player away from goal, approach and body angle
- decision making of the full back - win ball or be patient
- support and angles of first central defender and communication
- support of first midfield player, covering inside and communication
- support and positions of all other players, including GK, start position and communication
- means to an end - don't let them score

If you have any suggestions or comments, please let me know.

Thanks,

John
