Hi, i am a week away from retaking my FA level 2 qualification. However due to a mix up at my local FA (sent info to wrong address) i missed the support session. I will be using the old format of 6v6 small sided game instead of the new 4v4 style. I am worried that the other candidates will not understand what i am trying to coach them as they will be unfamiliar with the 6v6 method.
Is there much difference between the two methods as i am hugely worried about this? Also if anyone has any final assessment tips that would be great. |

I agree with 74... Stay on topic. Stay on topic. Stay on topic.
Don't be afraid to use the coaching points that you were given by your instructor. I felt that I had to come up with my own, to show that I had "learned" from the class. Your lesson plan is less important than what you do with the kids on the field, that is why this is a practical. Keep everything simple, don't make any of the games too complex: you want to be able to explain your game/situation in 30 seconds. Focus on knowing when to stop play and step in. As my old instructor used to say: you have to put players right. And lastly, relax.

Hie you should just be able to progress from a technic to skill practice and game situation.firstly its the technical side you should be able to let your players understand b4 moving to a skill practice.once the drill has come out get them to play ssg.Remember to coach one team and manage tha other
