Can you ask Charlie why they are so difficult to obtain in the UK?

I sussed onto these anbout two years ago and I can in all honesty say that they are the best grounding any child will get within the game

Charlie (and Coerver) had some problems with distribution recently and have ditched some of the third parties they previously engaged to handle orders/shipments, one of which wasa company called 'Star Digital'. I communicated with him late last year and he told me they were bringing this distribution back in house and that they were taking over the previously outsourced 'Play Great Soccer' website.

I thoroughly recommend Coerver drills to each and every coach out there, as there can be nothing better than teaching your players these tricks and skills. Forget match results at young age groups (I know we all want to win, right?) because you can teach them formations and other boring stuff as they get older.

But whilst they are in that golden age of learning then get them devleoping these skills that will help them in the rest of their footballing lives as they will not be able to learn them so easily as they get older.

Amen to that. I really tried to learn a good Cruyff turn two summers ago, one that I could use in a game, as opposed to just demonstrating to 10 year olds, and man, it just never came. Cookie's right.

Haha I've practised and practised and practised everything on those Coerver DVD's so that I can get to the level where I feel comfortable demonstrating to my players. I have three very enthusiastic assistants, and what we normally do is split our large group up into manageable smaller groups with each of us taking 4 or 5 children.

So I call them all in quickly, do a demonstration of what I want to see, then we move back quickly into our small groups. Stop, next demonstration, and once more back out to smaller groups and so on.........

My assistants curse me because if any of their group can't do the particular skill they obviously ask them to go over it again...........and I've seen some very funny attempts at difficult moves that have had the kids laughing at their coaches!

My assistants all believe I was the Gianfranco Zola of my day, yet most of the stuff I'm demonstrating I've learned myself in the past few years! I wish I had been taught this stuff when I was a kid....!!!!

I could only find them for £50 off the official Coerver site, but if you manage to hire them in or visit they will charge between £15 and £20 per player for a 3 hour workshop, each player gets an adidas Coerver ball and you get 2 or 3 sets of the DVD's to boot.
We are going up to Scotland in a fortnights time at £20 a child, parents are paying, and I think its money extremely well spent - even before the event takes place!
