Default Kit for U8

I need to sort out a kit. I'm planning on knocking on the doors of a few local businesses and sending out letters for sponsorship.

Does anybody have any suggestions, hints or tips for what type of kit to go for and what to avoid at this age? Im guessing any kit is better than no kit.
I'd like to speak to a supplier and find out how much a kit is with a printed logo for a potential main sponsor so that I can ask for a specific amount but there seem to be quite a few with published prices varying.

Ive seen a few online suppliers knocking out generic team strips comprising of around 15 tops but would welcome any input from the more experienced managers on what you did and if you would do anything differently next time around.

Thanks
