Default Post Match routine?

What do you all do post-match? Huddle together and have a quick chat or does that wait until the next training session?

Weve got an U8 match soon and everyone is completely new from the players to the coach. Im thinking of getting some Haribo sweets to hand out to the lads at the end.

Any comments or suggestions on what works or doesn't work are welcomed.
Cheers

Good idea to have a little something to reward them, or cheer them up/forget about it!!!
I have always had a brief chat with them, particularly if there has been any outstanding performances or the team has shown an improvement.
It's also an ideal time to remind about training or give news whilst parents are listening.

I'd second that. This really is when parents are most attentive.

I talk too much in general, so I'm trying to get the point sooner -- highlight positive performances, enjoy the win or put the loss behind us.

I've been thinking about, and rejecting each time I think about it, having some sort of man of the match award. I saw these embroidered soccer balls that could ironed onto the shorts, and I know I can recognize everyone two-three times a season and not have it seem forced or patronizing. But I think I'll pass on it again, and maybe wait until I have some level of traveling team.
