Problems Loading the drills?

If the drills are still not loading and you have installed the latest version of Shockwave or were unable to install the latest version please see below.

Shockwave was owned by a company called Macromedia but has been brought by Adobe. When you install the new Adobe Shockwave 10 it does not uninstall the old version which creates the problems of not being able to view the drills.

Please do the following, go to the control panel on your PC and go to "Add and Remove Programs" this will show you a list of all programs installed. Please remove/uninstall any of the following:

Macromedia Shockwave
Shockwave Plugin
Shockwave Player

Adobe Shockwave (You still have to un-install the latest version as we need to do a fresh install)
Once this is done close any internet browsers you have open.

Then open up a new browser and go to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi and install the latest version of the plugin.

Once this is done please go back to http://www.grassrootscoaching.com/ and try to load the drills. Please be patient on the loading of the first drill as it has to install all of the player movements the first time. While the drills are loading do not try to do anything else with your pc as the drills use a lot of PC resource and this could cause the drill to crash.

If you are still having problems please email us at support@grassrootscoaching.com and we can arrange a time to call you to help get the drills working.

MAC USERS: The default version of Adobe Shockwave is the slim version. You need to set it to download the full version of Adobe Shockwave for you to be able to view the animations.

Coaching Tip no 18.

One of the biggest difficulties I have always found with coaching football is generating new ideas for training to keep the players interested and stimulated. Grassrootscoaching.com has over 250 animated coaching drills, so whenever I’m struggling for ideas, I log onto the site for inspiration.

Coach your players the four c’s of football - competence – developing their soccer skills: confidence – develop their belief in their own, their team mates and their football Coach’s ability: care and trust – help them to develop care and trust in themselves and each other: commitment – provide a platform where the players are committed to the common cause.
