Close Range Finishing - Soccer Coaching 

Why is it that certain players, the goal scorers, seem to be in the right place at the right time? How is that they seem to have the time and composure in a crowded penalty area and they have this ability to hit the target or get to the rebounds first.

More goals are scored from inside the penalty area, than outside. More goals, in free play are scored from within 8 – 10 yards of the goal. Not all goals scored from close range are pretty affairs. The ball that hits a defender and drops to an attackers feet or one they react to first. The miss hit shot that is missing the goal, but gets diverted in to the goal, the rebounds from the GK. Sometimes, it is great combination play between players, a piece of individual skill, a clever run for a pass or a cross. But, they all have one thing in common; they end up in the back of the net. Luck, accident or good soccer coaching?
