Mike Trusson founded Grassrootscoaching.com in 2005 with the goal of helping football coaches around the world get more from their coaching sessions, empowering coaches to educate the next generation of players to the very best level.
Mike Trusson was a professional footballer in England, playing for 5 league teams throughout his career. It all started when Mike was aged just 14. He was invited to attend a trial for Plymouth Argyle and there his football journey began. To date over 5,000 football coaches from over 40 countries have become members of the Grassrootscoaching.com team.

COACHING CAREER
As a young 19 year old player, Mike took and passed his Football Association preliminary coaching award and started coaching the young schoolboy players at Plymouth. It wasn’t until he was 24 that Mike decided to take the Football Association Full Coaching License at Lillishall. This involved the former Arsenal Assistant Manager Pat Rice, in his final coaching session. At the end of his career he became the Youth Team (and then First Team Coach) at Bournemouth Football Club. Mike progressed to take and pass the UEFA “A” license. Subsequently he has coached players from aged 8 – 18, professional, First and Reserve teams and non – league teams. For the past 10 years Mike has been a Tutor for the English FA delivering FA Level 1,2 and UEFA B Coaching Qualifications.
